These Terms of Service govern your use of the Cozy Crochet website and services. By creating an account, posting content, buying or selling patterns, joining challenges, or participating in the creator program, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Cozy Crochet.

1. using Cozy Crochet

Cozy Crochet is an online community for crochet lovers. We provide tools to share patterns, photos, events, direct messages, and marketplace listings. Some features require an account; others are available to browse as a guest.

2. accounts and eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Cozy Crochet.

• You are responsible for keeping your password and account credentials safe.

• You may not impersonate another person, create fake accounts, or share accounts.

• We can suspend, restrict, or delete accounts that violate these terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law.

3. content you post

You keep the rights to the patterns, photos, and text you post. By posting on Cozy Crochet, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and share your content on the site, in emails, and in promotional materials related to the community.

You represent that your content does not infringe anyone else's rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights. If you believe content on Cozy Crochet infringes your copyright, email us at hello@cozycrochet.club with details and we will review it.

4. acceptable use

Use of Cozy Crochet must follow our Community Guidelines and all applicable laws. In particular, you may not:

• harass, bully, threaten, or spam other members

• post hate speech, explicit content, or illegal content

• attempt to hack, scrape, or interfere with the site's systems

• misuse the reporting, voting, challenge, or referral systems

• use bots, scripts, or fake engagement to inflate views, votes, or earnings

5. patterns, purchases, and payments

Cozy Crochet allows creators to sell crochet patterns directly to buyers. Payments are processed through PayPal between the buyer and the seller. Cozy Crochet is not a party to the transaction and does not handle payment card data.

• Sellers are responsible for accurate listings, deliverable files, and their own tax and legal obligations.

• Buyers receive access to purchased pattern files through their account while their purchase record exists.

• Refund requests are handled between buyer and seller unless otherwise required by law.

• We may remove listings that violate these terms or appear fraudulent.

6. creator and referral program

The Cozy Crochet Creator Program lets approved members share referral links and earn a commission when referred users become paid members. Participation is subject to a separate application and approval process.

• Creator referral codes may provide a discount on paid membership according to the current program terms.

• Earnings are tracked through server-side attribution and calculated in integer mills (one mill equals $0.001).

• Payouts are processed manually on Fridays through PayPal to the email the creator provides.

• We reserve the right to adjust or reverse earnings if attribution is fraudulent or mistaken.

• Referral codes and links must not be used for spam, misleading advertising, or self-referral.

7. challenges and prizes

Some challenges offer optional prizes. Every prize challenge publishes its rules, eligibility, winner selection method, tie-breaking procedure, verification requirements, and minimum eligible entry threshold before entries open. Prizes are not random giveaways and no separate payment is required to enter.

• Prizes may display as 'To Be Announced' until finalized.

• A prize only unlocks when the published minimum eligible entry count is reached before the deadline.

• If the minimum is not reached, the admin may extend the deadline, cancel the prize, or manually award it as described in the rules.

• Participation does not guarantee a prize. Winners must respond within the timeframe published in the rules.

• Disqualified entries are not counted toward the threshold or winner calculation.

8. termination and account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion removes your profile, patterns, photos, comments, messages, saves, reports, and uploaded files, except content we are legally or legitimately permitted to keep, such as purchase records.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or cause harm to the community, with or without notice.

9. disclaimers

Cozy Crochet is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the site will always be available, error-free, or secure. Use of patterns and community advice is at your own risk.

10. limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cozy Crochet and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including disputes between buyers and sellers, lost files, or downtime.

11. governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes should first be resolved by contacting us at hello@cozycrochet.club.

12. changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Cozy Crochet changes. Material changes will be posted with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
